Inside the quarantine of the Artemis II crew
Before their historic journey around the Moon, the Artemis II astronauts are undergoing protective quarantine. This video features the crew answering questions from Kennedy Space Center as they prepare for their upcoming mission.
The Artemis II mission serves as the first crewed flight test for both the Orion spacecraft, named Integrity, and NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. This 10-day mission will carry a four-person crew around the Moon and back, testing essential technologies required for future human missions to Mars and sustained lunar exploration.
The crew consists of Commander Reid Wiseman (NASA), Pilot Victor Glover (NASA), Mission Specialist Christina Koch (NASA), and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen (CSA). The mission is scheduled to launch from Kennedy Space Center on April 1, with a two-hour launch window beginning at 6:24 p.m. EDT.
