Four astronauts depart the International Space Station for a return to Earth

NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 mission is concluding its orbital residency. This video covers the undocking of the four-person crew as they begin their journey home, following nearly five months of scientific research and testing aboard the space station.

The Crew-10 team consists of NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov. Their mission focused on contributing to over 200 scientific experiments conducted in orbit.

The crew's research portfolio included physiological and psychological studies, as well as material flammability testing to inform future spacecraft designs. Additionally, they tested a backup navigation solution intended for lunar missions. The crew is scheduled to splash down off the California coast on August 9 at approximately 11:33 a.m. ET.
