Next ISS Crew Meets Media, Pays Homage at Red Square · 50:03 · Video: NASA · Watch at the source

In short: Watch the Expedition 27 crew participate in a solemn tradition in Moscow. Before launching to the International Space Station, the team honors Russian history at Red Square.

Red Square was toured by Russian Flight Engineer Andrey Borisenko, NASA Flight Engineer Ron Garan, and Commander Alexander Samokutyaev on 11 March 2011. The crew laid flowers at the Kremlin Wall to honor prominent Russian officials.

This ceremony served as a formal prelude to their scheduled launch on March 30 from Kazakhstan. The crew also engaged with the press at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, a key hub for preparing for spaceflight.
