In short: Before launching to the International Space Station, the Expedition 32 crew visited historic sites in Moscow. This video documents their participation in customary pre-flight activities, including a media session and a ceremony honoring Russian space pioneers.
On June 22, 2012, commander Yuri Malenchenko, along with flight engineers Suni Williams and Aki Hoshide, engaged in long-standing pre-launch rituals. The crew visited the Kremlin Wall to lay flowers and toured the grounds to pay their respects to significant figures in Russian space history.
The team also held a press conference at their primary training facility located near Moscow. These events preceded their scheduled July 15, 2012, departure for the International Space Station.
