In short: Before topping international charts, the South Korean boy band A.C.E honed their craft busking on the streets of Seoul. Since their 2017 debut, the group has navigated survival shows, mandatory military service, and a rebranding, ultimately securing their first U.S. radio hit with the 2024 single Supernatural.

Formed by Beat Interactive, A.C.E—an acronym for Adventure Calling Emotions—consists of members Park Junhee, Lee Jiham, Wow, Kim Byeongkwan, and Kang Yuchan. The group initially gained local attention by performing dance covers in the Hongdae district. Their path to professional success was unconventional; members participated in various survival programs, including The Unit and Mix Nine, which temporarily split the group as members pursued individual projects or fulfilled mandatory military obligations between 2021 and 2024.

The band’s musical identity is defined by a willingness to experiment, ranging from hardstyle debut tracks like Cactus to collaborations with international artists such as Steve Aoki and French DJ Hcue. Their 2021 release Spark, featured in a boys' love drama, highlighted their commitment to inclusivity, with leader Park Junhee emphasizing the group's respect for diverse forms of love. This ethos has resonated with their fan base, known as CHOICE, and helped the group maintain momentum despite the logistical challenges of military service.

Following the return of all members from service, the group entered a new phase of activity. In 2024, they launched the PetFlix project and embarked on the extensive Rewind:US tour. Their single Supernatural marked a significant milestone, becoming their first entry on the U.S. Mainstream Top 40 Airplay chart at 93rd place. By consistently blending K-pop aesthetics with global sounds and maintaining a strong connection to their roots, A.C.E has successfully transitioned from a local busking act to a recognized international presence.
