When superheroes and wrestlers collide in a steel cage
In short: In November 2025, the worlds of professional wrestling and DC Comics merged for a high-stakes spectacle. All Elite Wrestling's Full Gear event brought championship drama and comic book branding to New Jersey, featuring a massive double main event that settled long-standing feuds through intense physical storytelling.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) reached a special landmark during the seventh Full Gear, which occurred at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center on 22 November 2025. For the first time, the pay-per-view was presented by DC Comics, a partnership that extended beyond the ring to include the release of AEW-themed comic books. Included within AEW's 'Big Five'—the company's premier yearly broadcasts—are this show, Revolution, Double or Nothing, All In, and All Out.
A pair of main events headlined the night, finally settling various long-standing feuds. In the final match, Samoa Joe defeated 'Hangman' Adam Page inside a steel cage to capture his second AEW World Championship. This victory followed a period of intense conflict that began in October 2025, when Joe attacked Page during a trios match, eventually leading to a series of high-stakes confrontations including a number one contender match on October 29 and a cage match challenge at Blood & Guts on November 12.
The card also featured significant shifts in the championship landscape. Kris Statlander successfully defended her AEW Women's World Championship against Mercedes Moné, a rivalry sparked by Moné's interruption of Statlander's title defense at WrestleDream. Additionally, the event saw the crowning of the inaugural AEW National Champion, as Ricochet won a Casino Gauntlet match. Other notable outcomes included Mark Briscoe winning the AEW TNT Championship in a No Disqualification match and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) securing their third AEW World Tag Team Championship by defeating Brodido.
