How Jacy Jayne became the first wrestler to hold WWE and TNA titles simultaneously
In short: Taylor Grado, known as Jacy Jayne, achieved a historic milestone in 2025 by becoming the first athlete to hold championships in both WWE and TNA at the same time. Her journey from independent Florida promotions to the main roster of SmackDown highlights a career defined by strategic alliances and relentless ambition.
Born in 1996, Taylor Grado began her professional wrestling training in 2017 at the World Wrestling Academy in New Port Richey, Florida. Initially performing under the name Avery Taylor, she built a foundation in independent promotions such as World Xtreme Wrestling and American Combat Wrestling. By 2021, she signed a developmental contract with WWE, debuting as Jacy Jayne on NXT. Her early tenure was marked by her role in the stable Toxic Attraction, where she secured her first NXT Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Gigi Dolin.
Jayne’s career is characterized by frequent shifts in allegiance and stable dynamics. After the dissolution of Toxic Attraction, she transitioned through various storylines, including a mentorship role at Chase University and the formation of her own stable, Fatal Influence. Currently performing on the SmackDown brand, Jayne continues to evolve as a competitor. As of August 2026, she holds the WWE Women's United States Championship, a title she secured by defeating Tiffany Stratton. Her path has seen her transition from a developmental prospect to a seasoned performer who has navigated complex feuds, legitimate injuries, and high-profile title reigns across multiple major promotions. Beyond the ring, Grado maintains a private life as an animal lover, residing with three dogs and one cat.
