In short: Manon Fiorot’s journey to the UFC Flyweight top rankings is a masterclass in athletic pivot. After winning French Snowboarding Championships, she transitioned into karate and kickboxing, eventually carving out a historic legacy defined by high-percentage takedown defense and explosive knockout power.

Born in Nice, France, in 1990, Fiorot’s path to the octagon was non-linear. She began her athletic life with karate at age seven before finding success as a competitive snowboarder. It wasn't until she returned to karate at 18 that she earned her black belt and joined the French national team. A serious injury in 2014 following the Karate World Championships served as a turning point, leading her to discover kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Fiorot built a formidable foundation in striking, winning several national competitions and securing two national champion titles in amateur Muay Thai. She also claimed three national championship titles in K-1. Her professional transition saw her win the EFC Women's Flyweight World Championship in December 2019 after competing on a reality show in South Africa. This momentum carried her to the UAE Warriors promotion, where she captured the UAEW Flyweight Championship by defeating Gabriela Campos.

Since making her UFC debut in January 2021, Fiorot has established herself as a statistical powerhouse. As of September 2026, she ranks #4 in the women's flyweight division and holds the second-highest takedown defense percentage in the history of that weight class at 87.5%. Her career is marked by significant milestones, including a victory over former champion Rose Namajunas in Paris in 2023 and competing for the world title against Valentina Shevchenko in May 2025.

Her legacy is defined by both endurance and impact. With seven straight victories, Fiorot shares the record for third-highest winning run among UFC Women's Flyweight fighters alongside Maycee Barber. Additionally, she holds a record for the second-most knockouts in the division's history with three, trailing only Shevchenko.
