In short: From a brief 16-minute debut in Georgia to the bright lights of La Liga, Giorgi Kochorashvili's career is a masterclass in steady progression. His journey through Spanish football and a historic Euro 2024 campaign reveals the grit required to reach the highest levels of the beautiful game.

Born in Tbilisi on 29 June 1999, Giorgi Kochorashvili began his professional journey with Saburtalo Tbilisi. His first-team debut occurred on 23 July 2017, appearing for just 16 minutes in a 2–1 defeat against Torpedo Kutaisi. This early exposure to senior football set the stage for an extensive career across the Spanish league system, a common path for elite talents seeking refinement. Following his initial professional appearance, he was sent to the Girona FC youth setup. He later moved to the club's farm team in the third division after completing his formation.

His development was defined by strategic moves through Spain. After a loan to Girona FC in August 2017, he signed with Levante UD on 19 July 2019. It was with Levante that he made his La Liga debut on 12 July 2020, entering as a substitute for Rubén Rochina in a match against Athletic Bilbao. His resilience was further tested during a loan spell at CD Castellón in 2022, where he eventually became a regular starter. He later renewed his contract with Levante until 2025. This period saw him transition from a reserve player to a consistent starter for the Granotes.

Kochorashvili's international career has been equally significant for Georgia. He debuted for the senior national team on 12 September 2023 against Norway. He played a pivotal role in Georgia's historic Euro 2024 appearance—the nation's first international tournament as an independent country. During that tournament, he assisted Georges Mikautadze for Georgia's first-ever goal in an international tournament. His recent trajectory includes a €5.5 million move to Sporting CP in early 2025 and a subsequent return to Spain with Sevilla FC in August 2026. He also participated in the UEFA Euro 2024 play-off matches. During a penalty shoot-out against Greece, he successfully converted a spot-kick.
