Born Ha'Sean Treshon Clinton-Dix on December 21, 1992, the former professional football player carries a name that is often mispronounced. His nickname, "HaHa," was coined by his grandmother during his infancy. The name arose because "Ha'Sean" was frequently pronounced like "Shaun" rather than the intended "seen" pronunciation. The name stems from his grandmother's reaction to the common mispronunciation of his given name. This phonetic quirk eventually became his preferred identity.

Clinton-Dix prefers the nickname and notes that his coaches also enjoy the moniker. He specifies that the name should be written in Pascal case—HaHa—without a space and with two capital letters. This name would follow him from his time as a standout at Dr. Phillips High School to his collegiate career with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a highly sought-after prospect during his high school years. Rivals.com even ranked him as the top safety in his recruiting class.

His time at Alabama included playing for the 2011 national championship team, which secured a 21–0 shutout victory over LSU. He also participated in the 2012 BCS National Championship, where Alabama defeated Notre Dame 42–14. Following his collegiate success, he was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he played for seven seasons. During his tenure in the SEC, he tied for the conference lead in interceptions in 2012. He also earned a consensus All-America selection in 2013.

Following his time with the Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Redskins, he went back to Alabama to finish his studies. A criminal justice bachelor's degree was earned by him in 2018, and he now acts as Alabama Crimson Tide's director of player development. Before returning to university, he spent time interning for the Green Bay Police Department. His professional career included stints with the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins.
