How Zara Larsson's massive Midnight Sun Tour spans five continents
In short: From Munich to Bangkok, Swedish superstar Zara Larsson is embarking on a global musical odyssey. This ambitious fifth concert tour features 100 shows across five continents, marking the singer-songwriter's largest headlining endeavor to date. Discover how demand is driving venue upgrades and extra dates across the globe.
To promote her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun (2025), Swedish singer-songwriter Zara Larsson initiated her fifth concert tour, the Midnight Sun Tour. Starting in Munich, Germany, on 28 October 2025, this huge project will wrap up on 1 November 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. This scale of touring represents a significant milestone in Larsson's career, serving as her largest headlining tour to date.
The tour's expansion has been driven largely by intense public demand. Following the initial announcement of seventeen European shows on 5 June 2025, the tour quickly grew to include a North American leg, announced on 2 September 2025 with Amelia Moore as the opening act. The momentum continued into 2026 with the addition of Australian, New Zealander, and Asian legs, with specific cities like Seoul, Quezon City, and Bangkok seeing extra shows added due to high interest.
The complexity of the tour is evident in its logistical evolution. For the Australian leg, announced on 9 February 2026, Larsson's team had to announce venue upgrades on both 12 February and 16 February to accommodate fans. Similarly, the Asian leg, announced on 27 May 2026, saw rapid expansion, including a second show in Seoul on 29 June 2026. This global trek is scheduled to encompass 100 shows in total.
The tour's diverse lineup features various opening acts across different regions. Omar Rudberg was confirmed for the European leg on 4 September 2025, while Amelia Moore was set to support the North American dates. This multifaceted approach highlights the global reach of Larsson's music as she moves through Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
