TripleS is the world's first decentralized idol group where fans decide the music
In short: With 24 members and a rotating system of sub-units, TripleS challenges traditional K-pop structures. Fans use digital NFT photocards called Objekts to vote on sub-unit lineups, title tracks, and group activities, turning the audience into active participants in the group's evolution and creative direction since their 2023 debut.
Formed by Modhaus CEO Jaden Jeong, TripleS operates on a concept where members possess special abilities known as SSS. The group is designed to be decentralized, meaning the 24 members rotate between solo projects, sub-units, and full-group activities. This structure is intended to recreate the group's 'Dimension' each season, offering a fresh experience for fans who communicate and vote via the Cosmo app.
The group's name is an acronym for Social, Sonyo, and Seoul, reflecting their identity as the 'idol of all possibilities.' Members come from diverse backgrounds, including former trainees from major agencies like SM, JYP, YG, and P Nation, as well as participants from various reality survival shows. Before the full 24-member lineup debuted with the album Assemble24 in May 2024, the group launched several sub-units, such as Acid Angel from Asia, Krystal Eyes, and Lovelution, often using fan voting to determine their composition.
Fan participation is central to the group's mechanics. Through the purchase of Objekts, fans gain the power to influence key decisions, such as selecting title tracks or forming new units like the 12-member dance-focused Visionary Vision. This model has extended to international expansion, including the formation of the Japanese sub-unit Hatchi and the 2025 MSNZ project, which split the 24 members into four distinct sub-units. By 2026, the group began releasing multi-part projects like Assemble26, continuing their strategy of constant, fan-driven evolution.
