Marcus Wandt begins his 14-day Muninn mission aboard the International Space Station

ESA project astronaut Marcus Wandt launched on 18 January 2024 to join the International Space Station. This video covers his journey as part of the Axiom-3 crew, detailing the transit to the station and his arrival to meet Expedition 70.

On 18 January 2024, ESA project astronaut Marcus Wandt launched as a member of the Axiom-3 mission. The journey to the International Space Station involved a 36-hour transit period to catch up with the orbiting laboratory. Once the Dragon spacecraft successfully docked and the seal was verified, Wandt officially commenced his Muninn mission.

Upon entering the station, Wandt was greeted by ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen and the remaining crew members of Expedition 70. The mission is scheduled to last for 14 days.
