How Karol G transformed Latin music touring into a global stadium-filling phenomenon
In short: Karol G recently concluded her Mañana Será Bonito Tour, a massive undertaking that redefined the commercial scale of Latin music performances. Spanning from August 2023 to July 2024, the tour moved beyond traditional venues to command major stadiums across the Americas and Europe, setting new financial benchmarks for female Latin artists.
The tour was designed to support the singer's fourth studio album, Mañana Será Bonito, and its companion mixtape, Bichota Season, both released in 2023. While the core setlist drew from these new projects, it also integrated tracks from her earlier discography, including Unstoppable, Ocean, and KG0516. The production kicked off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on August 10, 2023, and concluded nearly a year later at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on July 23, 2024.
Financially, the tour achieved significant milestones. It generated over $307 million in gross revenue from a total audience of 2.3 million attendees. By the end of 2023, Karol G had secured the 11th position on Billboard's annual ranking of top-grossing tours across all musical genres, having earned $155.3 million and sold 925,000 tickets across just 20 performances. These figures established her as the highest-earning Latin touring artist of that year.
The tour was notable for its collaborative nature, frequently featuring surprise guest appearances that varied by location. From Young Miko in North America to Kevin O Chris and Pabllo Vittar in São Paulo, and Amaia Montero in Madrid, these performances added a unique, localized flair to each stop. The shows also included specific tributes, such as a homage to Selena in San Antonio. By the time the tour wrapped, it had become the highest-grossing tour by a Latin female artist and the third highest-grossing tour by any Latin artist in history.
