When he became a model for the fashion brand SPAO in 2021, the company reported that its flagship product sales jumped from 170,000 units the previous year to 500,000 pieces. Similarly, Born Champs saw a significant boost in performance following his selection as a brand model, with expectations of a 30-40% increase in sales for the 2022 S/S season. His influence is so pronounced that a winter collection released on his birthday reached the number one spot on the platform Musinsa.
Joohoney’s career also includes a period of dedicated service. He enlisted for mandatory military duty in July 2023, serving as an assistant drill instructor and military chaplain. His performance was exemplary; he was promoted to corporal early in March 2024 and received the Elite 300 commendation. After his discharge in January 2025, he returned to the industry with renewed momentum, continuing his work as a producer and performer. His ability to pivot between intense stage personas and approachable variety show appearances—what fans call his anti-war charm—remains central to his enduring popularity.
