In short: Few athletes achieve the rare feat of spending an entire professional career with a single franchise. For Mitchell Aubusson, the Sydney Roosters were more than just a team; they were a lifelong journey of premiership glory, record-breaking milestones, and a transition from the field to the club's inner sanctum.

Mitchell Aubusson’s career is defined by an extraordinary period of loyalty to the Sydney Roosters. Born on 1 October 1987, the Australian former professional, who operated as a centre and second-row, became the club's second-highest capped player. Over the course of 306 matches, he navigated the highs of championship glory and the lows of difficult seasons, including the 2009 campaign where the club finished last for the first time since 1966.

His trophy cabinet is anchored by three NRL premiership victories. The first came in 2013, followed by a 21-6 win against Melbourne in the 2018 Grand Final, and a third title in 2019 against Canberra. While he enjoyed significant success, including being part of three consecutive minor premierships between 2013 and 2015, his path was not without physical setbacks. During the 2019 Grand Final victory, an injury forced him from the field after just 12 minutes of play.

Aubusson's impact extended far beyond his playing stats. By the 2020 season, he became only the third player in the club's history to reach the 300-game milestone, celebrating the achievement with a try against St. George. Since retiring from the NRL in 2020, he has remained integral to the Roosters' operations. His transition into roles such as football operations manager, club ambassador, and junior pathway recruiter was solidified by his induction as a life member on 24 February 2022, and his 2024 appointment to the club's Heritage Committee.
