The continuous cycle of life aboard the International Space Station
In short: Watch how new crews transition from Earth to orbit, joining a rotating cast of international scientists to maintain a permanent human presence in space.
The video captures the arrival of new crew members, highlighting the logistical handoff between departing and arriving astronauts. For instance, Expedition 36/37 members Fyodor Yurchikhin, Karen Nyberg, and Luca Parmitano were greeted by the outgoing crew—Pavel Vinogradov, Chris Cassidy, and Alexander Misurkin—shortly after docking their Soyuz Spacecraft.
More recently, on July 14, 2026, a new trio including Anna Kikina, Pyotr Dubrov, and Anil Menon arrived from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. These crew members are currently in the second week of an eight-and-a-half-month mission, balancing the immediate need to familiarize themselves with station life with the primary goal of conducting space research.
